Our Story:

The Creative Women’s Hub was founded in 2019 by mother and daughter duo, Easmin and Niha.

As female creatives from marginalised backgrounds, both acknowledged that they were faced with unique experiences and obstacles on entering the creative sector and felt a need to disrupt and transform biases and create access within this space.

As a mother, Easmin found that there was a lack of understanding and support for women with children hoping to launch their own creative businesses. After building more than one successful company off the ground (and without a degree) Easmin became determined to challenge ageist and sexist amongst other stereotypes and to share her experiences to help other creative women.

As a young, muslim and South Asian woman, Niha found that creative spaces were often inaccessible to her. Ranging from being interviewed as a part diversity pushes and being told she would be a great fit because of how she ‘looked’, to being unable to submit her work for exhibit due to the expensive nature of submission and gallery commission fees, Niha knew that something needed to be changed.

To overcome the obstacles the two faced, Easmin and Niha came together and launched the Creative Women’s Hub in 2019.

With your support, the two hope to continue with their mission to uplift, to empower and to celebrate all creative women.
