MENTORSHIP AND EXHIBITION PROGRAMME

  • The Unheard Creatives Mentorship and Exhibition programme is a free, 3 month mentorship programme which aims to connect marginalised women (whose efforts at gaining employment in the creative sector have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic and other socio-economic and cultural barriers) to industry experts. Mentors will support mentees with: goal setting, confidence building and will also provide guidance in the creation of a small project to be exhibited at the end of the programme in an exhibition environment.

Mentees will also have access to exclusive masterclasses throughout the programme held by experts across the creative field.

  • The 3 month long mentorship programme will launch in January and will begin with a 1 hour onboarding/training day for mentors and mentees.

Mentors and mentees will be expected to meet on a fortnightly basis to discuss and work towards a set of 3, structured goals to be decided by the mentors and mentees at the beginning of the programme.

Mentees will attend 3 masterclasses at the end of each month of the mentorship programme to upskill, build their confidence/self belief and gain valuable connections across the creative sector.

Mentors will also support their mentees in the creation of a project to be exhibited in a prestigious gallery environment once the full programme is completed.

MENTORS 2022

MENTORS 2022

As a part of our Mentorship & Exhibition Programme funded by Derwent London, 9 Mentors from across the creative sector were carefully matched with 9 mentees. Each dedicated mentor played a key role in supporting and empowering the talented female creatives in our programme, providing personalised guidance and supporting the growth of their mentees careers. In addition to a microgrant and an end of mentorship exhibition, mentees were also provided with monthly masterclasses to support their personal and professional development.
